Hi there
I want to upgrade from ipcop 2.0.3 to 2.1.4
Is setup_util works to restore parameters?

regards

it restores your settings. What do you mean with parameter?
setup_util saves all important settings and the logs from each service. It also backups the icap urlfilter settings (but not the urlfilter database self, which you have to download first, before starting c-icap)
But setup_util does not save the config files for the services, they were be overwritten on a fresh install. So if you are not sure and you have your own modifications, you should make a copy of the copfilter folder, before uninstalling. Maybe:
cp -ar /var/log/copfilter /var/log/copfilter.orig
and if you have mods in your cgi's, you should also copy the /home/httpd/cgi-bin folder to a safe place

but in short: it will work :)

Hi TheTAZ57,

What is in httpd_error log?

If i remember right, i had the same issue a few years ago with copfilter V1 and another with V2, for 2 differents reasons.

Please:
- delete all files in /tmp and /var/log/copfilter/default/opt/tmp, except the folders "clamdatabases" and " dbtest_do_not_remove" if presents.
- Type

Code: Select all

chmod 755 /var/log/copfilter/default/opt/p3scan/quarantine
chmod 666 /var/log/copfilter/default/opt/p3scan/quarantine/*
chmod 755 /var/log/copfilter/default/opt/proxsmtp/quarantine
chmod 666 /var/log/copfilter/default/opt/proxsmtp/quarantine/*
Regards.
