Can you check, if this is working for you?
Download https://www.it-connect-unix.de/copfilter/ipcop-v2/mailscanner.sh_inc_options.tgz
md5sum: d5a056ff8f9d7ad73c6ab5315dd89741

Make a backup of the original mailscanner.sh, extract downloaded file and copy it into /var/log/copfilter/default/opt/tools/bin
after them, go to /var/log/copfilter/default/etc and open global_settings and give spamc your own options!

For example:
Code: Select all
SPAMASSASSIN_OPTIONS="-s 1048576"

this is only a quick add and you have to know, what you are doing! You can leave the option "SPAMASSASSIN_OPTIONS=" blank, but it should be part of your global_settings, if you are using this version of mailscanner.sh!

didn't work. When I started the services, the line in global_settings had single quotes wrapped around the double quotes, so if I entered

Code: Select all
SPAMASSASSIN_OPTIONS="-s 600000"

restarting it made it to this:

Code: Select all
SPAMASSASSIN_OPTIONS='"-s 600000"'

But the log file still shows bypassed size > 512000.

I must not know what I'm doing. was the new options suppose to go at the bottom of the global_settings? I inserted it with the other spamassassin settings, but after doing so all the spam came through. They were all graded, but it didn't stop the spam.

Ok. I put the options line at the bottom of the global_settings file and it didn't make any difference. spam still came pouring through.

its all the same! It is sorted anyway.

Please delete the quotes and replace it with '
Code: Select all
SPAMASSASSIN_OPTIONS='-s 600000'

Sorry, I did not tried a restart of the service and it was late.
There is no restart required!

Ok. everything is put back to the way it was and it's blocking spam again. Original problem still exists.
