Hi,
ehidle wrote:Is there any way to configure privoxy through the web interface when the IPCop machine it is running on is not the primary router/DNS on the network?
You can set privoxy even IPCOP is not the primary router.
it is necessary to enable HAVP or C-ICAp, and then enable Privoxy.

You can access Privoxy with the setting " Privoxy configuration" .
Then, you obtain this page:

The settings are the same for copfilter V1 and V2: http://www.copfilter.org/README.pdf

Hi!
/var/log/copfilter/default/opt/monit/var/log/monit.log is an empty file
Reinstalling monit 5.4 will not help, as long as 'monitrc' is an empty file, too!
-rw------- 1 root root 0 Jul 4 12:54 monitrc
You can extract it from installation archive (...\opt\monit\etc\monitrc) or start a new installation.
Keep an eye on file rights (root:root, 0600)!

All,

Seem to have the same issue after a clamav 0.97.6 upgrade. Followed all directions in the thread but with I go to restart c-icap it fails after about 3 to 5 minutes of trying to load the databases? I am new at Copfilter so any help is very much appreciated.

Running IPCop 2.04, Copfilter 2.091beta3, and newly applied clamav0.97.5 update downloaded off of it-connect website, linked from this forum (or wiki).

Hello billythe and welcome to copfilter forum!

Please download the newest clamav 0.97.6 from here viewtopic.php?f=9&t=813
When C-ICAP is not compiled with corresponding clamav release, the service failes! Please try the newest update and reboot your machine before using it. If this still does not work, run

Code: Select all

/etc/rc.d/init.d/copfilter_c-icap debug
on your shell and post the ouput.

regards

With the setup of 2.091beta3 and IPCOP 2.0.4, we are experiencing daily web proxy shutdown on our production IPCOP. We have modified the squid with icap. We have to manually go to the icap and manually restart it. Yes, icap is running and but proxy is not. Does anyone have any information of what we need to fix this. Monit is running. Do we need to mod monit when icap and squid fails to restart it as described in the wiki?

We have not updated clamd to 0.97.6 patch.

We did try the double update for clamd on a test machine and without the makesquidconf.pl reinstalled the patches does not restart the web proxy. A icap restart fails to restart the web proxy. We checked the squid.conf files and there are changes that seems to make it unusable. Monit is not running on the test machine, as of today.

Hi wwwatcher ,

For your production machine, and for your test machine:
- wich version of clamav are you using ?
- Did you update c-icap ?
(if you are using clamav 0.97.4 or higher, it is necessary to update c-icap)

Regards.

I have not updated ICAP. The production system has what the beta3 came with SVN836. The install consisted of IPCOP 2.04 with a copfilter upgrade which is 2.0.91beta3. The firewall has 512Mb ram. I am planning to upgrade to 1GB.

test system has SVN927.

What's the procedure to upgrade? Do I just upgrade to clamAV 0.97.6 in the other posts and that would get me to icap 0.2.1.

Hi,

Because each update fix bugs or gives new features, it is necessary to apply this step by step (EDIT 1):
viewtopic.php?f=9&t=819#p4234
(the next release copfilter 2.0.91 beta 4 will fix theses issues).

Regards.

It looks like we are having the same problem as in this other topic after the upgrade. Do I upgrade to SVN 927?

If you installed previous update as i said previously, yes, it is necessary.
This SVN release fixes a bug with unrecognized file formats, as reported on Copfilter-Forum.This C-ICAP version is for using with ClamAV 0.97.6 (if you use the C-ICAP ClamAV modul). The package includes some fixes for 'copfilter_c-icap' and 'check-c_icap-update-time.sh', too.

Regards.
