Probleme F-Prot Update, the come-back ! (SOLVED)

Post by ShelbyGT500 » 22 Oct 2011 10:32

Hi,

I thought that my problem was resolved: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=609.

In fact, since one week, automatic update are not effective:
In the gui, I've always : 5 minutes until next F-Prot update...

in the file /var/log/copfilter/0.85.3beta4/etc/fprot_counter, I find always 0 :?:
if i change in in the file /var/log/copfilter/0.85.3beta4/etc/fprot_counter,for example 55, the countdown is up to 0 , and i've always 0.

I've tried to reinstall IPcop, Copfilter 0.85.3.beta 4 , to install the fixes described in http://www.copfilter.org/wiki/doku.php? ... -_bugfixes.

EDIT1:
I've edited '/usr/local/bin/copfilter_cron'
with
if [ -e /var/log/copfilter/default/opt/f-prot/default/fpscan* ]; then

What can i do ?
(I've copfilter 0.85.3beta4, clamav 0.97.3, 3rd Party Sigs 0.55.3 (installed after f-prot) , google safebrowsing data base, and the addon URL filter).

Regards

Hi!

Ok, that was fast, thanks... :-)

We need to take a closer look:

Code: Select all

ls /var/log/copfilter/default/opt/f-prot/default/ -l
and

Code: Select all

ls /var/log/copfilter/default/etc/ -l

Matthias

Hi,

1)

Code: Select all

ls /var/log/copfilter/default/opt/f-prot/default/ -l
The result:

antivir.def
doc
f-prot.conf
fpscan
fpupdate
install-f-prot.pl

license.key
product.data
README

EDIT1: I think I make a mistake: at the end of the code, is it 1 or l ?
If it is l:
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 10 2011-10-22 01:12 /var/log/copfilter/default/opt/f-prot/default -> 6.3.3.5015

2)

Code: Select all

ls /var/log/copfilter/default/etc/ -l
The result:

avg_counter
avg_counter.conf
clamd_counter
clamd_counter.conf
clamd_enable
copfilter_check-updates_fprot.done
cp_spam_whitelist
fprot_counter
fprot_counter.conf
global_settings
global_settings.default
havp_enable
mail_forwarders
p3scan_enable
p3scan_rm_counter
p3scan_rm_counter.conf
privoxy_enable
proxsmtpd_enable
rules_du_jour_counter
rules_du_jour_counter.conf
sevmod_3rdparty
spamd_enable

EDIT 2If it is l:

Hi ShelbyGT500

the problem is, you are missing the fprotd_enable, which is needed for a correct update and reset the fprot counter!

Go to shell and type

Code: Select all

touch /var/log/copfilter/default/etc/fprotd_enable
chown nobody.nobody /var/log/copfilter/default/etc/fprotd_enable
You can check the counter manually, if you type

Code: Select all

/usr/local/bin/copfilter_cron ; cat /var/log/copfilter/default/etc/fprot_counter
edit: you fixed your copfilter_cron correctly to fpscan*

Thanks for reporting!

Found the second problem, why fprotd_enable is not created for the FPROT versions with no daemon support!
Please go to /home/httpd/cgi-bin/copfilter_antivirus.cgi line 681 and change following

Code: Select all

if ( -e "${copfilter_swroot}/opt/f-prot/default/fpscand" ) {
to

Code: Select all

if ( -e "${copfilter_swroot}/opt/f-prot/default/fpscan" || -e "${copfilter_swroot}/opt/f-prot/default/fpscand" ) {
because the fprotd_enable file will be removed every time, you safe your settings on antivirus page!

note, there is no need to restart antivirus daemons on copfilter antivirus page!
activate the Skip Service Restart check box and save settings

DONE, but in line 1018, because I've installed 3rd party sigs.

Thanks
